I think it driving everyone crazy because people are so caught up on this update... I wasnt receiving text for the last 24 hours and i called in and text support fixed it.. I asked him if the not receiving text is a well known issue with the Hero... He lied and told me NO!! The he said whatever issues are going on with the hero will be fixed because its a update coming out this month... I played dumb and asked him what it was, he mentioned 2.1 so i have no doubts that it will be out soon.. he said i will get a email or a text or something when its released.. So hold on to your britches people! its coming... sooner than you think

this sounds legit, kids. Because he was accurate on the texting issue thing, i'm sure he knows all about the 2.1 update.

the hero will never get the 2.2 update let alone 2.1. if anything devs will try to port 2.2 and it will run like crap on the heros much like most of the 2.1 leaks did.

You're not even making sense. The Sprint and Eris 2.1 leaks run beautifully on the Hero - way better than 1.5 ever did.

I think getting 2.2 is likely. Should be a fairly small update that shouldn't even require HTC to change much, if any, of Sense.

Let's just run it in this thread. We can clean this thread up of the 2.1 stuff if and when Sprint gives us an official 2.1.

1.5 was slow, laggy and had half the features of 2.1. My Hero is running Fresh 2.0d and I love it... it is faster, more stable and I have never had a problem with it.
