I read online that the sprint 2.1 update will not be over the air. They said its too big for them to update over the network, so it will.be for download on their website and updated via usb.

SOP for all updates I have ever had from Sprint that weren't titled MR haha.

one can hope.. Im only in it for the kernal to be released.. so we can have a oc rom with everything working.. but til then.. im happy with what im running..

im pissed at both htc & sprint for this failed launch. i love my hero but im seriously thinking about moving back to webos.

^^^^^^ then go right ahead! No one is stopping you! No one can remember the official release statement so ill post it again, 1H 2010. Can't get any simpler than that. Everything that's been stated as an 'official' release date have come from employees from tin buck tu. Wait for sprints official announcement before bickering its HTC/sprints fail. If you look at a calendar and split it into 2 halves guess which half we are in...still? Thank you, I rest my case. Though if you are willing, root and Rom! My 60 year old dad did!

Not to nitpick, but you can't seem to remember the official release statement either:

"Android update! Upgrades to 2.1 for Hero/Moment now expected early 2Q10. Currently working through options for upgrades w/ HTC and Samsung."
