Anyone have mms working on cing.

Everything works fine except mms.

This is some of the info I found here and at the other suggested Thread, and yet it mms still doesn't work.

"For Cingular customers out there, go back into the manual setup menu and enter these settings:

email cntr # 121

mms gtwy: 66.209.11.32:80

mms url: http://mmsc.cingular.com

They worked for me, the first number was changed automatically for me, so I didn't post it. Enjoy, the program works FLAWLESSLY!"

"Quote:
SMS MessageCenter

o +12099042010 (West Coast)
o +17045020600 (East Coast)

Make sure you include the + symbol if manually entering this number. It is essential.

This number is usually pre-set in your SIM card and should not have to be manually entered."

Thanks

Not sure if you overlooked it, but in the gtwy, its 32 COLON 80, not a decimal point.

And I live in NYC, and my mesage center # is +13123149810

Hi,

I have a TyTN and installed the orignal PalmMessaging.cab Everything works fine SMS and MMS. However, sometimes new SMS arrive into the new app (outlook). If I kill the OUtlook then SMS are delivered into PalmMessaging as desired.

I have made the Registry changes the SMS.old and MMS1.old as instructed. Once restarted I get a SMS created. I also have Push email as well as an IMAP account running in Outlook.

How do I rectify the problem? Install Beta4 or make a reg tweak?

Thanks in advance

Harj

Send a message via AIM to hannip
Remove poutlook from \Windows\Startup. You can also try beta4. It should integrate better. On the tytn you don't need to copy the 13 rom files.

SMS Folder

Hi,

Thanks for the tip!

It seems to be working. Need to receive more SMS and see where they end up. Should I still be seeing the old SMS folder under outlook?

What role is this playing now.

I don't have Beta4 and don't know where to get it from, I only have "PalmMessaging.cab". Am I missing out on anything major.

I can send and receive SIMS (subject to the recent change) - OK
I can send and receive MMS - OK

Thanks again.

Harj

NO MMS only in Outlook

Everything works a treat! A B I G thanks to everyone who helped make this work.

Trying not to be too fusy, I hear the original app has spell checker support, Any news when this may happen for us?

Thanks

Harj

Yea, I got that, thanks
It works fine if I install it after a Hard Reset.
But stopped as soon as I started installing some of my apps back in.
Not sure which one is giving me the trouble.
For now, the threaded sms works great.
Maybe if I have some time I will start over from HR and see if I can tag down the issue.

Thanks Again!

(2) In "inbox" view, unread messages are bold; this is fine, but if the title contains Japanese characters it looks like "FW:" or "RE:" and does not show the real title. Once I read them and then the title is correctly displayed.

Have any of you find any of the above issues, esp. (1)? Could you reproduce the problem with long English emails?
Did anybody encounter similar probems? Any info appreciated.

It works great now.
I found that if I go with wap@cingular.com it works.
I have always preferred using isp@cingular.com or ispda for quicker response.
oh well. :-/
