Re: Who switched from TOUCH PRO 2 to EVO 4G??

I had the TP2 for the keyboard,
every other screen was too small for virtual keyboard,
Evo came out with virtual keyboard big enough for my fat fingers,
Evo with 2500mAh battery same thickness as TP2, resolves battery-life issue

Wife still has TP2,
she has long nails and trouble with capacitive screens,
she needs the stylus or use her nailtip

Re: Who switched from TOUCH PRO 2 to EVO 4G??

I bought an Evo in February. I have enjoy it like a kids likes candy! I mean the only three bothers are No Blind Carbon copy on nthe MMS, No zoom on the camcorder and the battery life! But i did buy a different battery. I bought a 3500mah. I charge it through my TP2. The TP2 give a true charge.. Other than that it's a beautiful phone... browsing smooth as can b.. and many browsers of your choice! The picture quality is very good.. i enjoy this phone so much my wife laughs at me because i hardly ever get on the computer. it seems as if everything is at the palm of my hands!

Re: Who switched from TOUCH PRO 2 to EVO 4G??

I had a TP2 I use to love it since all my other devices were similar like Touch pro and PPC 6700. Besides that all my other devices were windows so I already knew how to cook the ROMS and the ROM I used on my TP2 is the Mighty ROM and I tought it was smooth compare to the other ROMS or stock ROM. However, the only thing that I did not like about the TP2 was that there was no flash for pictures. Now that I change over to the EVO is a whole new world to me but I really love it and I already learned the process of rooting and installing different ROMS on it. Android is very smooth compare to windows 6.5 with or without sense. On top of that the 8mp camera takes some really nice pictures which compare to the TP2 is at a whole new level. The only thing I miss about the TP2 is the keyboard but there are a couple of alternatives and it takes time to get use to the onscreen keyboard on the EVO.

Made the switch from TP2 to Evo in August and am so happy I did, but I would definitely wait for the 3D at this point.

Re: Who switched from TOUCH PRO 2 to EVO 4G??

had tp2, it was worlds better than the tp1, switched to evo, best yet, I would stay with evo for 4 years. My complaints on the evo are negligible.

cons: insanely poor video audio quality like 4khz mono, battery life is not good have to worry if the phone will last all day in heavy use/high phone dependent scenarios.

otherwise, it is a fantastic phone!

I went from Moto Q9c to a TP2 to a EVO ... only thing there is to miss about it is the keyboard. I use to type my papers on that thing. Im still getting use to soft keyboards, but the speech to text makes up for it!

Re: Who switched from TOUCH PRO 2 to EVO 4G??

YES!!!!! I had the Mogul, TP1, and TP2. The iPhone is nice, but I find that I am able to do much more with my Evo anytime I talk to or am around iPhone users and we take out our phones to compare and if you have iTunes their is an app that lets you sync your Evo with iTunes. Plus your bill on Sprint will be much cheaper. With my 15% employee discount I pay $150 after taxes for my family plan, the exact same plan on ATT would be $230 after taxes and on Verizon with 15% employee discount it would be $180 after taxes on TMO it would be $190 per month.

Re: Who switched from TOUCH PRO 2 to EVO 4G??

See my SIG below.

I am still on TP2. Yes, this phone is a piece of crab! It is slow. SO slow I dont even bother to do pop3 on this phone anymore.

I been a long time fan of WM phone since back on the Dell x51V PDA.

I am out of contract and want to get the EVO 4G. Then 3D is coming so I am still waiting n waiting.
