FoakGul, that method did not work...any other suggestions? any help would be appreciated!
I know there are Rooted Evo users out there that have applied the update! how you do it?!?

so how's performance for everyone? any negatives you noticed after updating? Is there still lag in games... do games play better overall? I've gotta wait another few hours to update, but i'd like to know what i can look forward to!

btw, if you didnt know you can manually check for the update on your phone under settings and it'll show up now...

hmm... interesting. this did work for me when i had the unrevoked root and tried to OTA update for froyo. but again i HAVENT tried this (no time yet) and just gave it as a starter and for informational purposes. did you download the 3.29.651.5 update and put it on SD and follow the instructions as given? if yes, then maybe a new workaround is needed.

anybody else with unrevoked 3.21 evo having problems with 3.29.651.5 update? and have you tried my suggestion couple of posts back?

no problems at all...

the process to reroot after the OTA isnt that complicated.

you need to reflash your custom recovery (RA or clockworkmod) and then reflash superuser permissions from the recovery console. reboot and you are done

hey so i installed the previous unrevoked... i got tired of waiting for the recently released unrevoked so is the process different for the previous version?

if you have s-off through unrevoked forever or unrevoked 3.21 you dont need to run that again. you just need to reflash a custom recovery and then superuserpermissions and you are rerooted.

the purpose of unrevoked forever and now 3.21 is to turn off the nand security below the radio level so that flashing OTA updates wont totally pull your root (yeah i know, but its late and i am tired).
