Actually no, no custom PRL here. I did mess around with a few of those a while back but without as much success as I had hoped for and was a little worried about running afoul of 'the man' so I switched back to stock Sprint PRL. I'm on the Sprint 60669 ATM but I just read a thread a minute ago about a new one being out and will upgrade to it shortly I suppose.

Talk to a tech person and tell him that your signal no longer works in your house. He will try to update the prl and stuff. Tell him that didnt work and that you heard about a home "signal booster". Basically just play dumb. Then he will tell you of all the benefits that a Airave will do, lastly he will tell you about the price. I didnt pay for mine or the monthly service. I'm not going to pay Sprint extra just to get a good signal.

Read attached .pdf and it tells you what to do and who to call. I actually called them and since i signed a new contract on the first they basically told me to close the account. So I called back and and went through the prompts to cancel my account and told the lady which was nice what the other gentlemen said and that I was closing my account. She then said she would send it out. It is the new one by Airvana which allows 3g data access so I am happy.
Great day.

Re: Dial *18 when your signal is bad.

the image in the pdf is still of the original airave unit that only supports voice calls not data.

No signal is really constand heck if my phone is facing the tv while laying in bed i get 1-2 bars or -81, -91 signal strength. If i Pull the phone to my ear and now its facing a wall I get -91, -102 signal strengh. Fools gold is just that.

By the way if you go through your owners manual it will let you know where the antenna is and you can do the math on how to hold it to get better signal or whatever. Or maybe just where a tin foil hat with a microphone plugged into the phone and splice into the hat.

Actually on a more serious not I heard you can put this antenna strength increasing sticker on your phone by the battery. There all over ebay there on like $2.99...

Oh god someone stop the stupidity!
Thank you so much for posting something sensible on this thread, because everything else here is completely absurd.

Re: Dial *18 when your signal is bad.

thank you.

if you are still reading this thread,

do you have the first model airave that only did 1X? if so, what did you have to say or do in order to guarantee they would send the airvana model out with no cost to you?
