Re: Who's Going or gone back to 2.1 after trying 2.2? Am I all alone?

Test subjects? I love how paranoid people are, 2.2 is much better than 2.1, there are more people with no issues than there are people with issues. For example look at the poll on this thread, there are only 13% of users that are going back to 2.1. I would wager a guess that out of all the Evo owners only 4-5% are having issues with 2.2 and of those 4-5% I would guess that majority of them have apps or a task killer that is causing those issues. If you are having issues with 2.2, do a hard reset (you will be doing this anyways if you go back to 2.1) and install apps one by one, I would bet that it is an application that you download that is causing most of your issues. |

Not having any issues with frozen yogurt. Definitely a keeper. I don't have a ton of apps installed though. Swype is slow except in the messaging app, I can live with that as I'll try an alternative soon. Otherwise I'm happy with froyo.

![]() I just find it baffling that there is a small percentage of users that are having these issues and others just simply are not having any issues. I still point to apps, chances are if you have a ton of apps not all of them are 2.2 compatible, sure they will install but they can cause issues. Also, benchmarks may not be real world, but they do show that there is a performance increase regardless. Besides if you wanted pure performance increase you would install Non-Sense 2.2, as Sense truly does slow it down. Either way Sense or Non-Sense 2.2 is faster, the JIT compiler ensures that. I am thinking of going back until the LockPicker app (or another with the same functionality) is available for 2.2. We'll see...maybe I'll get used to entering a PIN. I just don't like being forced to do so by Exchange on my personal phone.

Re: Who's Going or gone back to 2.1 after trying 2.2? Am I all alone?
I agree that 99% of the reported "issues" are 3rd party apps or user inflicted. Been using 2.2 for quite some time including rooted stock release. Have not run across any "real" bugs or issues that would make me go back to 2.1.
