I'm sorry I don't see how restoring a NAND backup has anything to do with the original topic of the thread. Actually the thread is about will the EVO be rooted again. You maybe thinking HAHAHAHA I rooted mine and I don't care. Thats great but if the OTA is so good that EVOs can't be rooted (look at the Incredible) and you break your EVO in a few months you will be SOL. EVO will start shipping with the update included you can count on that. I'm just saying.

some people have tried that and if the the nand is locked and you cant unlock it how can you restore it??????

alot smart people are working on it
it just suxx cause from what i know it was rooted in record time before it was even released to the public

and this time around it seems like it will really be a work out to root

Well when you give free evo's to 5,000 developers a solid 2 weeks before it's released this will generally happen.

What kills me is during the keynote given by Vic Gundotra when they gave the 5000 evo's out, he talked so much about "openness"/"inovation from everyone" with Android. But then again it was Google not Sprint or HTC saying that. Now if we can get Sprint onboard with this idea, how opening up would have all the technical people flocking to them, which the general public would follow... imho
