The End Of The Rooted Evo?

So as you all know the new OTA update has unrooted many Evo's
and made it impossible to root your Evo after OTA update
and causing problems for the cookers of custom roms for the Evo

i would really hate to see the day of the unrootable Evo, do you guys think there is any sunshine at the end of the tunnel

Re: The End Of The Rooted Evo?

we will always have root, give the guys a chance to do what they do. Always a good idea to wait for calk and them to post the rooted version of the ota first and follow the directions to the "t".

Or don't update... if the device works fine as it is then waiting for a solution is far better than to lose root.

Re: The End Of The Rooted Evo?

Crap! I rooted mine to the newest OTA and can't downgrade and plus my 4G is not working. Can't even get to the recovery menu to flash nothing. rom manager can't do SH1t with this new OTA. I wish I can turn back time and don't do it.

Re: The End Of The Rooted Evo?

Look I have been folowing ppcgeeks for a long time.... the talent here is far superior to sprints lame team don't sweat it. As soon as 2.2 comes out, be patient you will have a perfect ROM with all of the current goodies and root. Have they let you down yet! Eventually Sprint will realize this and quit fighting them...
