Re: did the new OTA break your EVO?

No, and I am assuming that the people who broke their phones didnt let it go all the way through and freaked out when it stayed at the 4G splash screen. So they probably turned the phone off while it was trying to update......my thoughts we just oh geeeze.........

nah, the problem is that the device let them update again AFTER the first update installed successfully. it's partially the owners fault for being dumb enough to update the 2nd time, but it shouldn't have been an option in the first place. anyway, once the 2nd time initializes it just shuts ur phone off completely and doesnt come back on. no chance of seeing the 4g splash.

Re: Google Talk Keeps Reactivating After Update

Just saw that Gtalk is indeed running but killing it resulted in my email not being pushed through automatically.. I have signed out and it's set to not sign in automatically, hopefully this lets me have decent battery life while also giving me my email.

Re: Major bug after update. Affects all programs.

Well crap, I'm gonna have to hard reset this back to the start.

Nothing I can do will fix this screen issue (the whole point of this FAR FAR off thread)

If you havent done the OTA, don't. just wait, HTC pulled it

just so everyone doesnt ask where it is. currently HTC has pulled the update due to some people getting bricked phones.

don't update if you havent done it allready with the posted ota file.

wait for htc to release a new update or fix
