The update was pulled by Sprint, cuz it bricked a few phones.

Well you probably shouldn't use the OTA update if your phone is rooted. Had it worked you would have lost root. unrevoked has a updated design for you.

The unrevoked design is having 4g issues. They're asking for people who did the regular ota to help now.

After the update: I've been getting some peaks of 6-7 off and on all day. And keep in mind I have my touiteur widget, facebook widget and email widget all updating constantly. Havent made any calls but about 20 or so texts and use the camera a few times. I'd have to say my battery is definitely seeing improvement... and I still have root.:toothy7:

not the simple unrevoked root though, correct?

Do you have a link to that Dave ? It appears that I've gotten better results with facets of camera/ video app too. I saw bitrate was changed from 6 to 8.

Can the OTA Update be uninstalled? or would maybe reinstall the old one?

Well I did a hard reset...

It still will go totally crazy and lose all screen responsiveness.

Never once did this prior to this patch.
