What a douchebag. Seriously. That was not a review at all. That was a blatant attack against a device which is obviously so superior in every way to the iPhony he loves so much and he can't take it so he has to do everything in his power to knock the Evo down. He's just grasping at straws.

I'm glad him and every other Apple fanboy out there will not have this phone because they're not worthy of it anyway. Let them enjoy their oversimplified iPhony. I wouldn't want them to strain their brain having to actually figure out how to use a more advanced OS which is capable of more than just grids of icons. Hell, I bet a monkey could get around pretty well on an iPhony.

It would be different if his views had some merrit. I can't believe you would defend that pathetic review and blatten attack of Android. Come on 5 hour battery life, who know what was running on that phone clearly he wouldn't. I can see from the video that Twitter had been configured. For all we know it was sitting searching for a 4g connection. That would absolutely kill a EVO battery. Defending him, WHY???

Forced myself to watch the whole thing. This dummy even got mad at the fast accelerometer cuz it wasn't animated.....I'm surprised he didn't beef over the red innards and ability to set wallpapers...

It's really sad when someone does a review but in their mind the iPhone is the best, anything done differently gets critisized.
It's not fair at all....
I mean how can you seriously get fraustrated at a lock screen because it doesn't say "slide to unlock"? So you you swipe up....and up again...and up again....and again...
So your telling me that that's what the average user would do?
Let me just keep swiping up.....
It's sad cause it robs people of a really good device.....(those that listen to him)
But isn't there a manual in the box somewhere though? wouldn't hurt the average user to take a gander at it......
I find iPhone users who review other phones funny, cause they think that everything should be like an iphone....well obviously its not an iphone why would it operate like one?
That's why I only value Engadgetand Phone Dogs reviews, they actually give you a REVIEW if something works it works, not if it doesn't work like an iphone then it automatically fails....

I would never proclaim that the EVO is perfect no man made device is (ask BP). All I ask for is a fair shake. Don't take something you know absolutely nothing about (apparently) and start bashing it. It will make you look like a fool. I would never knock the IPhone, or IPod Touch they are great devises (I bought my daughter a IPod Touch) but as a self proclaimed geek I prefer Android. There is room in the world for both, but use your head.

100% agreed. i love my ipod touch because it has lots of cool apps and lasts forever as a music player. i used to browse on it a lot, but now the EVO has pinch zoom which is WAY better then browsing on a WM device lol.

Iphone iOS 4 First Impression

As you can tell he's still mocking the Evo 4G...sadly he has some truth behind this...the video/audio quality isn't the best...and well I'm not expecting it to be either. He proclaims that the Evo in low light drops down to 10fps..which it may..but to me it seems he's trying to find all the faults of the Evo and point them out. What device doesn't have issues? You'll also notice throught the video expect when he brought up the Evo 4G he was calm, in his Iphone realm.

I personally think any Iphone user should be shunned from doing reviews on non Iphone or Apple related items..it's a givin that they will always lean towards the Iphone. There is proof of that on youtube...and I'm betting you guys know that.

Whats your opinion of this video he posted? What are your feelings of what he's doing?

I also wanted to add...that the Evo is still new, less than a month old...so it's to be expected that some things arn't up to par..the video encoding on the Evo is subpar, but that can be fix down the road via a OTA patch. I think he's expecting it to be perfect out of the box...but even then the Iphone wasn't perfect...and still isn't.
