Re: Proclaimed GEEK reviews EVO

That's Chris Pirillo aka lockergnome, he hosted Tech TV with Leo Laporte for a while. He is very knowledgeable, good troubleshooting skills (Leo's better) and has truly been a "geek"..

None-the-less an Apple Fan-boy.. And sure does get frustrated easy considering he is a "geek" at the fact the phone is not all set up and "easy" for him to use, without having to think a little. He is coming with his mindset as an iPhone user, thinking everything else will just work the same way. Someone send him a Palm Treo, blackberry or HTC 6700
Let's see if he can figure those out...

If sliding up doesn't work twice, I would try swiping another direction, like down... lol!

i'm pretty sure that battery life is decided in conjunction with the carrier. the less battery life the less chance you'll use up time with data services.

a true geek loves tweaking and messing with settings. that's what makes us what we are. if i wanted ease of use i'd have just got a plain phone and saved my money.

EXACTLY!!! its simply crazy to think that they allowed him to do that but im sure he got paid well to give a negitive review of the EVO, i came from WinMo and it was a simple crossover, anyone with the intelligence of your average 8 year old can use android hell maybe even younger, alittle common sense and general knowledge of how things work is all it takes. this guy says he is a "geek" but clearly he just uses the "stereotype" approach, he is at best a moron,idiot---con-artist. pretending to "fumble thru" the OS like its really that difficult, i mean COME ON DUDE!! the lock screen is SO SIMPLE!!! oh i forgot---the Iphone has to give you directions (idiot proof) if thats not enough to convince you he is an idiot, i dont know what is----everyone just dislike his review

AND FURTHER MORE!!!!! i think he should just go to a pawn shop and try to find one of those old school indestructable Nokia phone which most complicated feature was the snake game lol----i mean this guy just needs a diaper and a bib because he gets frustrated like a baby (a retarded one at that) ive seen turds left in public restrooms with more intelligence than this guy, he has the patience of a phedophile at a public playground, seriously---or maybe he did this to get a Iphone 4 for free, maybe he is steve jobs love slave ----i bet he has an apple tatooed between his butt cheeks--maybe even over the poop chute lol----HAAA!!!!

Re: Proclaimed GEEK reviews EVO

chaos2137 I sense a bit of hostility towards him/his review.. haha

I am sure that he is much smarter than that, and actually did his part by getting us all worked up about his attempt to put the device down. As much as he tries though you see that at times he does switch to a seriously admiring tone when he praises Sprint, and the feature on the phone he does like..

When I first saw him on Cable TV, when he would review Apple products, it was like watching a dog uncontrollably humping someone's leg... Doubt there has ever been anyone salivating and drooling more..

lolololololol----just a bit hostile---lemme put my sword down for a sec and calm down lol, actually i found the review funny it looked rather staged lol. but its all good, if people let a negitive review persuade them in what is or should be their decision then its sad, i think alot of us are more than happy with what we have, i love being able to go in and change whatever i want with the phone, love the good and the bad---lol @ humping dog comment (CLASSIC)

Re: Proclaimed GEEK reviews EVO

I think it's funny that from the first video and the second battery life video that normal subscribers to his videos are leaving because of how he reacted to the comments.

Wouldn't hurt if he knew what he was talking about though. Instead he just tried to make what he didn't understand the Evos fault.
