Re: Sprint insurance vs bestbuy insurance?

no grudge... just the opinion i formed after seeing how it all works. i worked in the services department for 2 years before is was turned in to Geeksquad and was a rep 2 for year, so i had a lot of experience with the warranties. the only ones that were really worth anything were the PRP's which they stopped selling.

They still sell prps on certain items. Also, there is a lot of manager discretion when it comes to these types of things, could have been the store you worked at. And if you worked in the service department before it was Geek Squad, that was YEARS ago...YEARS AND YEARS... LIGHT YEARS...

this is interesting well to start it was 100 for smart phones deductible from sprint but on the evo it is infact 150 and i would advise getting both insurance's because the internal screen on the evo can hold much pressure i.e if you have the phone in your pocket and it just happens to be to much pressure or a smal item is pressing on the screen at all it will crack and kill pixels under the glass i know this from experience i have both sprint and bb insurance and im glad i do because bb is sending me a new phone and when i went into sprint they wont work on evo and will 100% send you a referb and it will also take 2 weeks with the high volume of evos selling and you will still pay 150 but if lost or stolen you still get your phone back so id say keep both and get the best of both worlds 17 bucks isnt bad for just in case things happen you would never expect oh and sprint doesnt cover water damage on the evo i might add

Re: Sprint insurance vs bestbuy insurance?

stick with sprint insurance...i had bb on a few phones, and depending who's waiting on you, the policy always changes. i had one tell me i had to bring a slip from the sprint repair store saying it was broken, even though they saw that it was broken (psp plan).

Is this something new for the Evo that I didn't know about? I had my Mogul replaced like 6 times, another 4 with my TP , 3 Hero's and I'm currently on my 5th Pre (yes,I'm very hard on phones). Now does this apply to only if you have to pay the deductible or just basic walk-ins/swaps?

2 replacements per year with sprint TEP (might have changed, but as of 2009 that was the deal)
