no, classic htc battery management, I actually think wm just did a better job at compensating.

the battery, hardware, and software all have safety meters, and they all have to agree.

Re: Possible battery fix from HTC!

OK, i was thinking when i read this last night that it was as someone else mentioned... spin the phone 3 times and stand on 1 leg while plugging the charger in...but....

I fully charged the phone (green light)
Then turned the phone off and plugged charger back in... went orange and in about 5 minutes went green...

Turned the phone on and plugged charger in, it showed 97% battery and took around 20+ minutes to be "FULLY?" charged... unplugged it and i used it (surfed/texted/emailed) and only used about 10% in a hour, which is way better than the 25% per hour i was getting... (I have most all the widgets already turned to either 2 hours or manual sync and since i am home instead of in the city i have no 4g coverage so i have it turned off)

I am going to give this a try again today just to see how the day goes...

I would love to know how you guys are getting 16 hours on a charge. I just took mine off the charger not more than 20 min. ago and am already down to 86%.

I am betting their usage and apps is closer to my STANDBY because even since i disabled google Voice (which did increase my battery life huge) today i am using around 15%+ per hour and to get 16 hours on a charge i would have to have the phone sitting on the desk doing nothing....

I do have a seidio in the mail so will see how that helps...

My phone does the exact same thing. I wasn't even using the thing either.

I think this phone have problem recognizing the battery level. Once I was playing robo defense in the EVO and it said battery critical. So, i turned the phone off and swapped my battery with my TP2. I was surprised to see my TP2 showed battery still around 40%(The battery what had less than 10% in EVO). I thought it was just fluke and next time same thing happened. I wasn't what was going on that time. but not everything is making sense.

Re: Possible battery fix from HTC!

so more strangeness for me. last night, after the sharp 2 hour fall to 19% on my prepped TP2 batt, it continued to stay there. During that night I was texting and had 3 calls, one of which was 25 minutes. Went to bed @ 1am, phone was at 18%. This morning, I wanted to start off right and tried the off charge _on charge routine. I never got the green light to stay on (after about 10 iterations). It was always orange for a short time during the off charge. I thought I'd try to get setup this way with my EVO battery...

popped out my TP2 battery, threw in my "9%" EVO battery from yesterday, left the power off and took a shower. 30 minutes later, I see a green light. 30 minutes for a full charge (starting from a 9% read when I pulled it last night)?

I am tired of scratching my head. what the what is going on?
