Possible battery fix from HTC!

I just got this from another site and thought I would share!

HTC confirmed there is a problem with the battery.

1. Their suggestion is to charge it while on until the light turns green.

2. immediately turn it off and charge it again until it turns green.

3. and once again immediately turn it back on and charge it again till green.

Repeat that process until the on and off charge are both green..

Here is the link to the other thread.

While you are at it, place the phone on your chest and turn it COUNTER clockwise 3 times.

Re: Possible battery fix from HTC!

Hmmmm, sounds like the phone doesn't know when the battery is fully charged. Hopefully this is just a one time "programming." Worth a shot I'd say, though I am quite satisfied with the battery life I have been getting. I get about 16 hours until it hits ~25-30% then I put it on the changer and go to bed...

Re: Possible battery fix from HTC!

There used to be a way to recalibrate the battery back on the tp & tp2. If you ran the battery all the way down to dead so it wouldnt even power on anymore, then charged it all the way to green with the power off, there would be a certain percentage of the battery that wasnt charged. Between charging, using, reboots, resets, and whatever else happens, the battery forgets how much charge its supposed to have.

Agreed, I'll probably give this a shot, but I'm getting atleast 16-20 hours with solid use (on a slow day 30+ easy). For a phone like this, I'd say that's pretty amazing.
I'm used to charging every 8 hours or less with the same work load lol.

Re: Possible battery fix from HTC!

So when i turn it off, does this mean actually taking out the battery then turning it back on again?
