You guys are great at answering questions!

So i havent had a chance to unlock nand protection, but I'm trying to backup and flash using the premium version of rom manager and the newest clockwork mod.

When i try to use Rom manager to make a back up, or anything else, my device hangs at the /!\ and phone screen.

I thought i didn't need full root, and i think I made backup with the previous version of clockwork.

You dont need full root for the free version (I should have been more specific) maybe the Premium ROM Manager is different, though I'd think they wouldn't have let you install it without full root if it was required.
Try plugging in your USB and with Charge Only and USB Debugging enabled try running the windows-recovery batch file as outlined in Post 1 to load Android Recovery.
Nand backup is Nand backup it wont matter which Recovery you used, so if you load Android Recovery you'll still be able to restore.

Maybe it was the clockwork mod update? Gonna go back to the last version and try again.

The Clocwork update is working for me as I posted a few posts back, (kinda surprised me actually that the Manual boot now also loads Clockwork)
I'm full rooted fwiw.

Yeah I read that, I'm guessing its because I'm not full root. Will post back with update.

Could not flash back to 2.0.0.9. Updated to 2.0.1.2, same isusue. Tried 2.0.0.7 as well.

Any suggestions? Gonna unlock and see if I can get into recovery from Rom manager.

However I think it's important to point out that while Wipe data/factory reset is on the main menu of both Recoveries, WIPE DALVIK is under the Advanced option in Clockwork, that's new for me since it was on the Main Menu of Android Recovery.

I think this means that Koush has updated rom manager so that it replaces the recovery with a permanent clockworkmod recovery- see here (check post 5)

I think that unlocking will solve your problem- maybe the latest version of the rommanager needs your nand unlocked so that it can replace your recovery- see my post right above (Im guessing)
