i read on unrevoked that rooting will cancel my insurance...is this true? any way around this? so in essence, i should cancel the $5 a month i pay if i root...and once i root, is there any return to normal?

only if sprint finds out will it cancel your tep
if you need to return it just revert back to stock

kewl thanks KarlE...i assume when you say "tep" you mean my insurance....and while i have you, if i root, i can at some point return the phone to stock with no one the wiser?

search google for Wireless Tether 2.0.6, once you're rooted it just that's simple. I'm just starting to look for the latest/greatest batt life solution myself. There's a controversy over battery mods at this time, but IMO it's far less to worry about than most are making it out to be...
