Re: this keyboard sux

I happen to enjoy the onscreen keyboard a lot. Very fluid, smooth and accurate.

Let's all remember to respect other users' opinions. There's no need to attack others when you simply disagree with them.

Thanks

Re: this keyboard sux

that's weird... i find this soft keyboard to be the best i've ever used. not just because it's capacitive, but because of the size of the screen. this is the only reason why i'm not upset about the EVO not having an AMOLED screen. I can actually type fast without errors in portrait!

Everyone still having success with text input ? I have tried a few free keyboard apps and feel the 1 that comes with the phone is laid out the best for my typing . Thick buttons app isn't that bad but I'm still screwing up like crazy .. getting used to shifting over for numbers is annoying still .. long press comes in handy at times but when its a string with a large mix of characters its annoying. Not complaining, just reporting take on it .. today I play some more to see how it goes

Re: this keyboard sux

The evo is a wonderful device indeed if you have to slow down typing because it is too fast... myself, coming from a tp2, palm pre and samsung moment, the on screen keyboard is very nice and convinient. I type very fast and accurate so no problems whatsoever for me... *typed from my evo 4g*

Thanks! I too found it super sensitive and was mistyping like crazy. But I'm very used to a hardware keyboard and I know that it just takes some getting used to. I was also opening things I didn't intend to and all kinds of stuff, so again, I just have to get used to it and I'm sure calibrating it will help a lot.

I love the phone however and I know I have sooooo much to learn about it. Just wish I had more time to just sit and play with it, but I'm crazy busy now and it will probably be weeks before I can just sit and play.

thanks again!
