Re: this keyboard sux
Im getting better and better everyday with the keyboard
On my tp2, i got so comfortable i could text without even looking, it was all by the feel. With the screen on the evo being a big glass slab, it just takes a little bit of muscle training before your thumbs can put the keys in "muscle memory". Once that happens, texting should be no problem if you have any. The only thing i miss is being able to type in landscape without the screen auto cropping. It really annoys me that i cant see the full text window, just the standard android word wrapped window. |

Re: this keyboard sux
I could type faster on my TP2, but of course I could, it had a keyboard, which means a bigger, thicker, heavier phone. Even though I could type faster on my TP2, I can get text messages sent out faster overall on my EVO, because I am not locking up or waiting for something as simple as the text screen.
I am not trying to rip on the TP2 or start a war, just throwing out my opinion. |

I'll add my support of Swype here...good stuff. It's funny though, when you load it...you get a warning that says the program you are loading my be saving and recording passwords and other keystrokes... Doh! |

Wirelessly posted (Sprint HTC Evo : Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; Sprint APA9292KT Build/ERE27) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)
Im so much better at typing then i was 8 days ago ... but its still alot longer of a process at times just writing a simple text. My #1 error is spacebar. I tend to enter a v,b, or n where id try n enter a space. I sometimes just enter random words to practice n even tinker with a kool app which tests my speed n sh!t Edit: forgot to mention how my keyboard leaves little dots on points of contact with the kb to show me where i tap n other then the space bar im pretty fkn accurate. Completely taking my fingers off the screen n dragging them causes some of the incomplete inputs no doubt which is fine just slows me down

Man, you give me reason to wait for Sprint/HTC to make an Evo like phone with a keyboard.

The saving grace is the voice recognition. Try it, believe me.. its awesome. I'm amazed how much I use it. |

smart keyboard is decent .... ive already mentioned this but will again, i use the free version n have it set to where on each key i tap it leaves a dot showing me my accuracy or lack there of, also shows me where i ufck up n drag my finger at times which prevents proper input. check it out worst case scenario u dont use it n uninstall. but i admit its this keyboard that makes me better at this. shapewriter is kool n even tho its comparable to swype id like to get a working version of swype installed but im having difficulty on my device n ive followed the simple instructions Last edited by dumpringz; 06-15-2010 at 12:22 AM. |
