It takes a little getting used to but I am liking it so far.

This is because of the capacitive screen. It does take a little getting used to. I use Touchpal which makes it a little easier but it still nothing compared to how fast I could type on the resistive screens.

The resistive screens allowed you to actually feel your presses since pressure was needed to actually initiate the presses. This allowed for a more precise feeling. The capacitive screens are different. Sometimes I won't even notice I touched the screen at all and I am there opening up menu's, etc.

My fingernails sure get in the way, but I am getting used to it. Actually, it's a little better than I thought it was gonna be. :)

Have you all made attempts to calibrate your keyboard before use? I did and so far things work pretty snappy.

LOL, my nails aren't long but they were just long enough that I had to cut them down so I can be a little more accurate with typing and using the phone in general.

I have to agree and I'm a bit disappointed too. As for the people who crow "swype".. can you post a link to a working swype for the 4evo. The two files I tried did not work, they said the resolution was unsupported.

Yes, I had swype on my Samsung Moment, I know how to install and select it.
