I'm really not having any problems at all. It's a little weird for me seeing as I've had slide-out keyboards since my first smartphone, but I'm actually typing pretty fast. Especially in landscape mode.

Hmm...I type faster on this thing than I did on the TP2 hardware keyboard. Maybe it's just me. :P

Trust me soon you all will fly. Capacitive is way easier than resistive. Resistive ya gotta press so hard where on capacitive ya just barely touch and you move on, less movement ..

GO to the marketplace. There are many free, "swype-like" keyboards that you can download and that work great with the evo. I downloaded Shapewriter and while i'm still a little slower than the TP2, its improving.

I take it your new to Android. In about two weeks any other on screen keyboard will suck, you will get use to it.
