Re: People ditching iphones for the Evo
yeah I saw the same thing. RS was giving peanuts for people's iPhones and they were accepting it, ah well. The hardware on the new iPhone will be sick, but its still an iPhone. My point is that many people may/will prefer the flexibility and nature of the Android OS over iPhone OS, though others will not.

Re: People ditching iphones for the Evo
Stopped by my local BB to see what all the excitement was all about. There was on customer getting an Evo. I couldn't tell what his old phone was.
I casually asked the BB wireless employee how Evo sales were going. He said, "very good for a Sprint phone, but not like the iphone." He later said that it's been awhile since they've had a really good selling Sprint phone. Hopefully this will change things. |

Re: People ditching iphones for the Evo
I'm switching, I got tired of Apple's iron fisted dictatorship on their software. I hacked it anyways, but still, too much trouble. At least the Android guys don't really CARE if you root. It got to the point where the updates on my iPhone didn't actually DO anything, they were just to trick people into unwittingly lose their jailbreak. Screw that. If I want to listen to Pandora while I text message then just LET me! Why do I have to wait until Mr. Jobs decides it's appropriate? DEATH TO MAC!

Re: People ditching iphones for the Evo
You can, but you gotta jailbreak. The ability to jailbreak is what sold me on getting an iPhone. And since Apple is cracking down on hacking (since Macs are "unhackable." HA) I see no reason to own one anymore.
