i bet any money root will be patched on the june 4th phones. the hero devs still cannot root the 2.1 shipped ruu.
Maybe, but you may lose that bet. It would have to be a fast fix because it would have to be applied to every phone already produced. We are expecting our shipment of preordered phones in the next couple days. The only way it could be patched efficiently is when they fix the problem with the SD card. Rom developers will have a quick fix for that when it is released.

Haha. Yea. I want a 32 GB card but Idk why! I got a ?, anyone rocked a class 10 with their davlik-cache on it? I know it is not a good idea on class 2 cards, or 4 for that matter, but some report good results with 6, maybe 10 is a good number?

Re: Defect in Included MicroSD Card

Well, the phone SHOULD work properly with the items that it's shipped with in the first place.

That is correct. Lets see what HTC phones I have had that didn't fulfill this...

HTC Vogue (WM6.0 sucked. Leaked rom was better than the real sprint rom when 6.1 came out)

HTC Touch Pro (No explanation necessary)

Palm Treo Pro (HTC Made it, and apparently convinced Palm that there was no need for RAM/ROM storage or any need for it to have any support after release... ever.)

HTC Hero (If I was running a stock rom I would leave this phone, but on Fresh by Flipz it rocks. About to try Damageless' rom Damagecontrol I guess because @bradart recommends it and he is a pretty reliable source)

Since I have owned all these phones and not one worked out of box I don't expect it to work out of box, I only expect it to be easy to fix or like the TP original I will be very upset!

Re: Defect in Included MicroSD Card

I am betting it isn't a software problem at all. After reading on all the other forums about everyone having the problem, it sounds more like the card itself is defective.

It seems to work when people change the card, regardless of the class.

I've had my share of defective cards and that is always how they act.

It would be funny if it was a software issue though. After all the people blasted WinMo for not working correctly out of the box, if the best Android device ever made so far needed a critical update out of the box, lol.

Pretty sure that isn't the case though. All signs point to it being a defective card. And it appears that the only claim of it being a software issue is from some cat making a post on another forum saying he called Sprint and that's what they told him. We all know we can take that with a grain of salt.

Replace the card and I bet it works well. Hopefully Sprint will do the right thing and let us exchange those MicroSD cards at Sprint stores/repair centers for free.

I had the same problem with the TP1 and my MicroSDHC 16GB, or at least it seemed like the same symptoms. But some people were saying that they had switched cards and still had the problem on a class 2.

So hopefully Sprint will be ready and willing to exchange the cards for something that works on launch day. If it only works with class 4 or beter, then switch those cards out for class 4 or better.

Re: Defect in Included MicroSD Card

I'm just going to reuse my 8GB class 4 from my TP if the supplied card does not work
