Re: Sprint ok's FREE HOT SPOT on 2.2 and teethering

Show me one official Sprint document or quote that says the extra charge is for 4G and I'll jump on the bandwagon. You won't find one though, because the charge isn't for 4G. lol

The TP2 came out way before HTC released their Wifi app.

Well at the same time Hesse said there wouldn't be an extra charge for 4G, he also said there wouldn't be an extra charge for us using more data and doing more things with it. So take your pick. YOU tell ME what the extra charge is for, and then i'll show you Hesse saying we wouldn't get charged for it.

OK, let's pick the latter. Show me that at least. It's not the same, but it's something I guess.

Show you what? Again, YOU tell ME what the charge is for, and then I'll debate it. But you can't just come in here and say "nah-uh" to everything without ever presenting your own argument.

Re: Sprint ok's FREE HOT SPOT on 2.2 and teethering

It's called a "Premium Data" charge.

http://blog.laptopmag.com/sprint-cla...arge-on-evo-4g

Quote:
If you buy the Sprint 4G EVO, you have to pay this $10 charge each month. This is specific to the device. It’s not related to whether you are using 3G or 4G. It is required if you have the phone.

Because the phone has a faster processor, a huge 4.3 inch screen and an 8 megapixel camcorder/camera, we expect you will be using a lot more data than you would with our other devices. These features will give you capabilities that have previously never been available on a wireless device and we think they provide a premium experience.

"Data" typically doesn't refer to processing power, camcorder pixels, or screen size. Just sayin.

So then you're saying this fee is because Sprint expects us to use more data?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-sRcRf0CbA

Hesse clearly says he knows we will be using more data and they aren't charging more for it.

Either way, Hesse said we would not be getting charged any extra. Spin the charge into whatever you want, it's still a charge that Hesse said we would not see. He said 2 years from now plans will have data buckets of different sizes, but they weren't going to charge extra until then.
