4G is already up and running on several devices (usb modems, overdrive), as long as the EVO has a Wimax radio (which it does) it can and will pick up 4G. 4G coverage may not be widely available in all areas until next year, but it is already available in many fair cities (like mine) and it is expanding rapidly. Re: HTC EVO 4G /Supersonic HANDS ON!!!
HTC EVO 4G's successor is codenamed HTC Olympian. The name Scorpion is a codename for Qualcomm's dual core (hence scorpion) 8x72 processor, in which each single core is a 1.5Ghz Snapdragon CPU.
For those who are wondering when HTC Olympian is coming out - my guess would be no earlier than Q1 of 2011, because 8x72 Scorpion CPU will be released in Q4 of 2010, and this is coming directly from HTC's Senior Vice President of product management: http://www.slashgear.com/dual-core-1...-2010-0768955/ |

Re: HTC EVO 4G /Supersonic HANDS ON!!!
No. As I said in the previous post it is going to be the successor of Sprint's HTC EVO 4G. There are still no details what kind of 4G radio it will have WiMAX or LTE, but people are inclined to assume at least initially it'll be the same as EVO - WiMAX radio and running on Sprint network.
This CPU will have 30% less power consumption and 1080p camcoder. The phone itself is rumored to be shipped with 1800mA battery. And it better be true, otherwise with 1.5Ghz dual core, 4.3" screen and 1080p graphics this phone will eat the battery faster than a fat kid can destroy a donut |

Re: HTC EVO 4G /Supersonic HANDS ON!!!
I love when people make stuff up. The successor to the olympian will be the bullcrapian and will have a 3.2 ghz Snapneverexisting, LTE, WIMAX, GSM, CDMA, DSL, NPR, NRA, WHO, and thirteen other three letter acronyms. You can believe me because I say so... Why would I make this up? Let's just get the Evo in our hands and then worry about it successor the day after.. K?
Edit: Sorry about the tone. No disrespect meant to anyone. I woke up to no AC in the south and it was 90 degrees in my Apartment. I am pleading temporary insanity Last edited by sikclown; 05-06-2010 at 12:45 PM. Reason: Changing tone |
