You have to pay on the spot; only Sprint (and maybe EVP) will allow you to charge to your account.

We were in the Sprint store today to activate two new lines for people joining our family plan. They rep there said she didn't know exactly how many Evo's they were getting but she said to probably get there around 6:45 if I wanted to be in and out fast. Although she said stores should be getting enough to last through most of the weekend because Sprint does not want a lot of angry customers who don't get the Evo the first day. Hmm, we will see.

i wouldn't spend $800. you can get one for 6 bills without contract from sprint. especially since you will not get the phone before the actual release date.

I emailed my EVP rep to find out about my preorder, and I was told they have not received their stock of EVOs yet for mailing. I am getting a little concerned. Good thing I plunked down $50 at Best Buy a few weeks ago... however I havent heard from them either!!
