I went to Lubbock Tx BB this morning at 9 and they would not let me preorder the EVO. I called back at noon and they said they were now accepting preorders and I got my EVO order for June 4 delivery. He said come by the store anytime on June 4 and I could pick it up.
They had no firm details of pricing or if there was a $10 premium charge for 4g and said if I changed my mind I would have the gift card to use for something else at BB.

Thats how I look at it because sometimes when I charge it to my account they dont put it on there for say 22 months and I just pay a head of time.

EVP has preordered the EVO 4g for $449 for me. They ship it out from the same warehouse as Sprint in Lexington, KY. The benefit with EVP is dealing with people who are informed and speak English as a first language. They actually respond to emails too. Based on my previous dealings with EVP they will get you the phone before Sprint will.

I am satisfied with how my SERO to EVO transition went. I hate to see SERO go, but it was a dead end street for my cell phone hobby.

I too will shed a tear when I leave SERO ... then shed tears of joy

when I have the EVO in my hand!! Now I have to find a way to negotiate a monthly discount. Just graduated from college and currently unemployed

BBY is doing pre orders today for $50.00 I have read that Shack is doing them and giving like a $20.00 accessory credit or something like that. I went with BBY because I like them more.

Ok I asked earlier and got no response so I'll ask again. Does anyone who used EVP know exactly when the phone will be shipped to them? Will it ship out on 6/4 or will it arrive on 6/4? I have EVP but I haven't heard back from my rep Lisa Smith since I emailed her the same question this morning. So just in case I pre-ordered it thru Best Buy and I got a receipt and gift card although the girl did say she did it wrong for the person before me and charged them $53. She figured out how to do it right for mine and i was charged $50.00 even.

As for the BBY part you will get credit either way, if you were charged the $50.00 or the $53.50 like I was.
