Also maybe there will be someone loike me who is shooting to get one at Sprint and has one @ RS as a backup plan. You know plan A and plan B I have no plan C.... I wall start on plan C now..

Ok so here is what I did. I called up the corporate Radio Shack number from the website and got some customer service rep who didn't know much but he was able to give me the number for the district office. I called them and spoke with a district manager and explained my problem. She said she would call the store manager and have him put a phone from the store stock aside for me. I am still awaiting his call back to confirm that. So hopefully they don't forget to put the phone aside, I will be calling them June 3rd to remind them and be there early on the 4th.

I just got back from RS and was told the same thing...no more pre-orders...however, he did put me first on the list (took all my info and verified I was eligible) for 2 from the "extras" they ordered for regular store stock on top of what they are getting to satisfy the pre-orders.

I went to my RS about an hour ago and they were still pre-ordering and doing the $20 gift card with the $50 deposit...I didn't order one because the manger hinted at a July release of the G4 iphone for Sprint. He said, "I would wait a little longer if your not sure because it is right around the corner".

He said ATT is going to jump their early termination fee at the beginning of the month from $175 to $325 because of all the people fleeing ATT for Sprint and Verizon in the next 4 months.

Just repeating what he said to me...

Just for arguments sake lets say he is correct. You can still return the EVO in 30 days. WWDC is on the 7th so if it(iphone) was coming to sprint, we would probably find out then.

my friend was just told that by a ATT rep yesterday when she called. shes leaving ATT for Sprint before the ETF increases.

Sprint screwed the pooch with me. I went to Radio shack on Wednessday to pre-order my phone. Got there and it said I was only eligible for $75 discount. Said this must be a mistake. Come to find out some how my phone got switched off as the primary phone (we are sprint premiere customers) ARGH!!! So I had to wait til August for the full $150. Came home, called sprint and they agreed to reset my eligbility because of their mistake but it would take 48 hours to do so. Never dawned on me to just pre-order the phone to lock it up....I thought I would have til the 31st though. I was going to go into RS tomorrow (Friday) to pre-order. Oh well, something tells me this is not meant to be. I guess if I really want this phone I will have to check out the stores on the 4th.

marcus, my upgrade tis effective on tuesday june 1 but i pre ordered my evo anyway because when i pay the balance it will only be $150 plus tax.
