I honestly think you just pushed me over the edge to get the EVO. Can't wait to give this software a try, the website looks great. Do you use the software already?

Re: Contacts and calendar from WinMo to Evo?

you can buy it now and set it up on your WinMo but you'll have to wait till you get your EVO before you can do any transferring of contacts, calendar, files, whatever....

WinMo already syncs with Windows using activesync. Activesync is free. why would you need another program to sync your WinMo with your PC?

1. Connect WinMo to PC using activesync(XP) or
Windows Mobile Device Center (vista or Win7)

2. Install "The Missing Sync" for Android on your PC

3. connect your android phone to your PC. This will sync all your WinMo stuff (contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, files) to android

*disclaimer* that is how I set up my wife's PalmPre to sync with her TouchPro and it works perfectly, I'm assuming that the android version of their software will work the same.

But you need Outlook though, right? I don't use Outlook. I think I have an old version somewhere I can install, but I was hoping to avoid that because I have 4 users that all need to get their stuff into gmail.

Re: Contacts and calendar from WinMo to Evo?

well, if you want to completely skip the PC and go straight from one device to the other, you could try Funambol - it will take all of your WinMo info and copy it to the funambol servers. Then you can copy it back to your android device. There is a 90 day free trial - plenty of time to do what you need. Here's more info

There's also a simple program that will only copy your contacts HERE

Another commercial application you can look at is CompanionLink

I still don't know what I will be using to make the switch to android yet either. I've only got about 2 weeks left though, I've pre-ordered the EVO and I'd like to have a solution ready and waiting when I get it!

Re: Contacts and calendar from WinMo to Evo?

GooSync looks promising. You'll need the premium version though (lite and free versions do not do contacts) HERE is the comparison.

So far, it looks like GooSync will be what I use. What do you think?

Re: Contacts and calendar from WinMo to Evo?

This was the easiest way for me. I don't use outlook on my phone. I just exported via .csv edited and then imported them into my google contacts. Here is the link.

So when you did this, did you keep all of your notes for the contact, the catagory, and the contact picture?
