how about the topic topic of this whole thread, going from 1x to evdo then from evdo to reva then to 4g wimax, i think thats an upgrade, not to mention things like visual voicemail. Sprints puts money upfront in order to gain money back from customers signing up to use those services.

I can understand them charging more for 4G, however, they have already said they were not going to.

My point was simply this, and Please correct me if I'm wrong, it may help me decide to spend more money just to use an Android phone.

As far as I know there are no features that you get with an Everything 450 plan that would be required for an Android phone to operate, that I do not currently get on my 450 min voice plan($39.99) with Unlimited data plan($15)! So Why should I have to pay more to use an Android phone.

I can correct you, if you want an android device then there is something that is obviously better then your current phone I don't need to explain it to you, if not stick with your current phone and plan. if you think its not worth the value and don't think its worth it to pay more to get the hell out of winmo 6.5 don't upgrade. My point is sprint is not forcing you out of your phone and plan, you can keep those for as long as you want, but those are old software, android os is new software and has many advantages over winmo 6.5, its up to you to determine if its worth the price increase but to think your old plan will work forever to get into new phones, your trippin.

Ok I see your point of view on this!

Let me ask you a question. If you go out and buy a New 6 Core PC with all the latest and greatest and Your Internet provider tells you it's gonna cost you $20/month more for internet service because you have a better Computer now, You would be perfectly fine with That?

my isp doesn't sell computers, the way my phone service providers sells phones. but if they did then comcast came out with some super upgraded internet, yes they would charge more, the same way they charge more for 12mpbs, 16mbps, 22mbps, and 50mbps.

You missed the point, they didn't upgrade the internet. It's the same, just better hardware. Which you bought, don't forget many people don't get their phones from the Carrier. They use Ebay, craigslist etc.

While I wouldn't be happy with it, but, if we are going to get as close as apples to apples on this, since that 6 core pc could only run on your specific ISP (evo is only on sprint), and you had to buy it through them, then they could do that, as that would be one of the conditions required in order to use that PC. If you don't want that new computer, keep the old one, and use the older internet service.

Since Sprint is making the rules on this phone, as they are offering a discount on the phone for the service, they can require you to upgrade your plan. We don't have to like it, but until the wireless networks change their games, we must abide by their rules.
