It was a bad@$$ plan because I got everything Sprint had to offer service wise! Than I ended up getting a Mogul like.........2 years later or whatever! I saw the powervision stuff but was never forced to upgrade to any other plan! I had that same plan all the way up till I got this everything plan, me and the Wife got it when they had it for $99 and I just added a line for an additional $10 because I could do that! Than they came out with the everything family plan and forced us to switch to that......so we seperated the lines and each got the everything plan for $69 with discounts that make it much cheaper than the everything family!

Point is.............when I got my Mogul I didn't have to switch to anything......they added GPS to the Mogul...I got that free for 3 months.......they added the picturemail app (from HTC) and I was straight.......but never did I have to switch my plan!
Wrong debate man, lol. Nobody is saying you had to change plans to go from a 6700 to a mogul. I'm saying you were forced to change plans when you went from a 6600 (or G1000, or whatever device before the 6700) to a 6700. But if you had a 6700, then yes its plans were the same ones the Mogul required.

Yep, we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

See the link to the thread I posted from back then- plenty of people were upset about it. The forums were full of complaints about it back then.

Really? That's exactly what they did not only to Sero users, but others like me on regular voice plans with $15 power Vision. And I see more and more switching to the Everything plans which have no more benefits than my plan. So what's to keep them from paying even more for the EVO?

They did try and convince me when I got a touch pro2 that I was required to get the $30 vision plan. Well, I still have the $15 one.

I don't see myself giving up my $43/month plan until there are no more Touch Pro 2's left in the world. Or maybe if I get a significant raise and feel like throwing some extra money away!

By your own words, they didn't force you to change, but they urged you to do so. And why is that? Because they are a company that is built to try and turn a profit and upselling plans/add-ons is one way they can do that. But like I said, and you just proved, they didn't force you to change.

Re: New plan changes for EVO 4G???

Not that there are any sides to take, but this whole thread is throwing out much confusion.

First off, SaltyDawg is correct. I was there from before the G1000 to the 6600, 6700, 6800 and yes Sprint DID try to make you upgrade your plan each and every time you bought an upgraded phone even though the phone can perfectly provision on your existing Vision plan. I'm one of the lucky one's SD mentioned who was able to keep the $10/mo EVDO through to the TP2.

The confusion given here is that the 'average' customer WILL have to change their plan and pay more to use the EVO. Most customers are not on the Everything Data plans. They are on SERO, Free & Clear, etc. and aren't paying $100+ per month.

By saying 4G won't cost additional $, Hesse can spin it anyway he wants. The truth is, if you're not ALREADY on a plan designed for the EVO (read: Everything Data Plan), then he wasn't talking to you.

Sorry, to clarify " in order to use an Android phone, they ARE forcing us to change to an Everything Plan!" Which is one of the many reasons I am still on A Touch Pro2.

So correct they aren't forcing you to do anything. If YOU want an android phone then YOU have to change your plan. Nobody is forcing you to get those phones. Eventually you will want to upgrade then you will have to get a new plan. old plans for old phones. new plans for new and upgraded phones and services, whats so hard for people to understand? So you want your old plan to work with new phones that have upgraded services but you think its fair to keep your old plan, go figure
