Re: New plan changes for EVO 4G???
See the link to the thread I posted from back then- plenty of people were upset about it. The forums were full of complaints about it back then.

Really? That's exactly what they did not only to Sero users, but others like me on regular voice plans with $15 power Vision. And I see more and more switching to the Everything plans which have no more benefits than my plan. So what's to keep them from paying even more for the EVO? They did try and convince me when I got a touch pro2 that I was required to get the $30 vision plan. Well, I still have the $15 one. I don't see myself giving up my $43/month plan until there are no more Touch Pro 2's left in the world. Or maybe if I get a significant raise and feel like throwing some extra money away! |

Re: New plan changes for EVO 4G???
Not that there are any sides to take, but this whole thread is throwing out much confusion.
First off, SaltyDawg is correct. I was there from before the G1000 to the 6600, 6700, 6800 and yes Sprint DID try to make you upgrade your plan each and every time you bought an upgraded phone even though the phone can perfectly provision on your existing Vision plan. I'm one of the lucky one's SD mentioned who was able to keep the $10/mo EVDO through to the TP2. The confusion given here is that the 'average' customer WILL have to change their plan and pay more to use the EVO. Most customers are not on the Everything Data plans. They are on SERO, Free & Clear, etc. and aren't paying $100+ per month. By saying 4G won't cost additional $, Hesse can spin it anyway he wants. The truth is, if you're not ALREADY on a plan designed for the EVO (read: Everything Data Plan), then he wasn't talking to you. |

Sorry, to clarify " in order to use an Android phone, they ARE forcing us to change to an Everything Plan!" Which is one of the many reasons I am still on A Touch Pro2. |

Re: New plan changes for EVO 4G???
So correct they aren't forcing you to do anything. If YOU want an android phone then YOU have to change your plan. Nobody is forcing you to get those phones. Eventually you will want to upgrade then you will have to get a new plan. old plans for old phones. new plans for new and upgraded phones and services, whats so hard for people to understand? So you want your old plan to work with new phones that have upgraded services but you think its fair to keep your old plan, go figure
