Zagg 50% (some 40% too) of codes: I believe each one can used only once. I was going to get one but decided to get the matte finish from phantomskiz. Some of these expire 5/31 others 6/19.

But so far phantom skinz is the only webiste that actually says on the site "Not rubbery or tacky feeling like imitators" i can only assume that this means it wont feel like zagg. So unless I can actually find a user who says I use "_____" and its not sticky at all. I'm gonna order phantom today when I get back from work.

Try searching Phantom Skinz vs. Zagg or anything like that. I've seen a handful of links for forum threads talking about direct comparisons (some with pictures). Pretty sure Phantom Skinz is what we're looking for in a body shield. However, I'm not sure how it will feel vs a non-healing zagg like screen protector like clarivue, boxwave etc...

(www.sgpstore.com) I don't see the protector available for the Evo yet tho. Is Phantom skinz available for the Evo? I kind of want my screen protector in time or very close to launch date.

The Phantom skin is supposed to ship out around launch date.

Game over man. LOL.

Seriously though, it's not that hard. It's possible to separate the skin if it folds over on itself. I think he's exaggerating a bit.

If ordered before noon it will ship that day, if not the next day according to a customer service rep of theirs. Also the code spring25 before may 31st can be use for them. You get "As always, we will give you two skinz in each phone kit. When you order the matte full body kit you will receive two full body skinz and four screens, two clear and two matte, so you can decide which one you prefer."

I have used these on most of my phones from my TP on and they work great, I have a feeling that the liquid that they use is does not pass electricity through it very well, non cunductive (sp).

Thanks. I used i37nda3d if anyone is wondering. I have had Zaggs on my TP and TP2. Thought they were good quality. They do have a slight orange peel effect but you only see it when the screen is powered off.

Boxwave makes the stock TP2 protector, IIRC. It is my favorite, but I want to have something ready to go when the phone gets here. There isn't enough of a difference to run unprotected for several weeks.

Re: EVO Screen Protectors Thread

I posted up pictures of the protector i got from ClearFreak a few pages back...and then today I got this email from them..

Quote:

Thank you for your order with Clearfreakmobile (www.clearfreak.com) Your order has been processed and mailed regular USPS postal mail in compliance with a FREE shipping selection. If you elected for one of the paid shipping services, you will receive an email announcing your item has shipped along with a tracking number.

If you have any questions or problems, feel free to email us at anytime at sales@clearfreak.com or call us at (800) 358-9290

Due to the HTC EVO 4G buttons and camera hole located on our protectors, this provides a much larger challenge with installing the protector accurately and effectively. We would recommend that you install the bottom area of the screen first, then stretch or lay the protector in place towards the top of the screen where the camera hole is located.

We do also recommend you use a soap solution when installing this product to cut down on mistakes.

If you are unable to install your HTC EVO 4G protector, we do have another screen protector available that covers the screen from top and stops just short of the buttons. Please contact us if you have any questions. Thank you.
So I emailed back and said that the holes for the buttons are useless since they aren't real buttons and they emailed back and said that another protector is being sent my way. Cool.

Just thought I'd let ya know.

I'd rather have holes for the buttons than having the protector stop before them. So the ones on ebay are the same as the website? Hard plastic type not the sticky/gummy zagg type? Do you know if the material for the back cover is the same as the front?

Not sure about the back, I only have the screen protector, but it is that nice slippery material. Reminds me of the tp2 protector that came with it from htc.

I did buy mine on ebay so yeah thats the same one..the ones with the holes.
It is a nice protector well worth the couple bucks.

Here is the link from the one I bought.

Yep. Sure does.

It actually didn't come with instructions, just says to hit up clearfreak.com and checkout the installation video and instructions on the site.

All that was in the envelope was an invoice, protector, and squeegee.

i want a screen protector like the one that came with the TP1. i liked the smooth feel to it and was planning on picking up a hard back cover (hopefully raises to help protect lens). So which kind of screen protector is the best at protection from scratches while still being smooth (not zagg or ghost armor)

I tried all lof them before on my TP, TP2 and the Palm Pre.

After going through all of them, Phantom Skinz is my clear choice. I have pre-ordered my Evo protector from them. Not rubbery, no rainbow effect, no screen distortion and good protection. When applying don't be afraid to use lots of the fluid, makes installing it a breeze.

Re: EVO Screen Protectors Thread

my problem with boxwave: they feel great and super slippery, but every one ive tried with my tp2 ended up with corners that would rise over time. eventually it would catch on the inside of my pocket and pull the damn screen protector off leaving it with lint on the sticky part =(. i ordered 3 total and all of them had this problem for my tp2.

Re: EVO Screen Protectors Thread

So... I emailed bodyguardz, phantomskins, ghostarmor, and clairvue.... they all replied except for clairvue and said they wernt sticky like zagg but the only one who is currently shipping the evo skin is bodyguardz and they wante like $40 to ship it to me b4 the june 4 launch date (NO FREAKIN WAY) now that its been a week and clairvue hasnt replied to me even if they do i dont wanna do business with them because if they poor customer service b4 i become a customer how are they gonna treat me once they already have my money?

Here is what I decided to do. I live in California so I'm surrounded by malls Ontario Mills, Montclair Plaza, Tyler Mall, Victoria Gardens and so on... I'm gonna go to one of them find a phone kiosk (you know those little carts in the mall that sell phone accessories?) and buy my skin from one of them because they will open it and let me feel it b4 i buy. I paid $45 for my full body zagg at the mall they guy put it on for me and everything but i hate it. My cousin went to a mall kiosk and paid $25 for some off brand one the guy put it on for him it feels great not sticky or anything protects his full phone sides and all (my zagg does not) and his phone doesnt have one scratch on it. I would go where he went but they closed down but all of those kiosks sell the same stuff its no big deal...

ZAGG will have 50% discount site wide only on memorial day.

If you order more than $30 you will get free shipping.

Just an idea:
$12.50 Full body for Evo 4G
$12.50 Full body for ipod Touch 2G??
$12.50 Full body for moms phone??

Bamm Free shipping

or just buy for one Zagg protector and pay $12.50 + $3.50 (shipping +-) = $16

Let me know how tough that is to put on, I have it sitting here waiting for my Evo as well heh. I have put the full body on a Zune 80 and it wasn't easy but not terrible either. And I agree with everyone, Zagg's are usually more rubbery feeling, but they are thicker than most protectors and I trust it will protect my devices. Will see how it affects using the touchscreen so much heh. But am curious to know how tough it is to put the full body stuff on and if it will affect putting a case on top of that full body stuff as well heh.

I just ordered 2 from clearfreak....got them off ebay..4$ each and free shipping. I will also send them an email about the button cutouts being useless. Hopefully they will send me 2 full coverage ones less cutouts. If not, they were cheap enough to use for a while.

anyone order from xoskins and get them yet? I ordered about two weeks ago, and I don't have anything yet?

Edit: Nevermind, just saw that it is a pre-order, they ship after the phone is released.

I plan on getting a full body zagg anyways, just so I could do the back only, I hated the rubbery feel to the screen protector, but the full body saved me so many times in dropping the phone and having no damage.

I'm just hoping the xoskin is a smoother screen protector.

Is Clarivue a good protector? I don't know whether to do that or Seido.

Any comments?

I want one that feels like there is nothing on the screen. Kind of how the stock screen protector was on the TP2, if any of you have used that.

I hate the rubber feel.

soo which is better or are they both initially the same product... Clarivue or Clearfreak

EDIT: So does the clarivue ones have holes for the bottom buttons and a hole for the camera? Cause if there's no use for the holes for the bottom touch buttons then i would want a screen protector without the holes
