Did you get an Airave?

I just got mine. I now have full bars on my phone!

Other than the full bars, how do you know you are using the airave?

Also mine will have solid green onthe mobile light but then start flashing for many many minutes green - anyone else encountering that?

When you make a phone call, you'll hear a couple of beeps before it starts ringing.

mine doesnt beep. at least my new model doesn't. my old 1x did. lol you can shut that off. as for signal locks i always use the gps antenna. have it routed and out side my window in my living room. the wife and her curtains and blinds you can even see it. it sites behind my entertainment center next to my modem and router. all hidden.
