Re: Who's buying the EVO 3D????

So are official Sprint stores not doing the preorder? I went into mine and they said that they didn't know what I was talking about, and that Evo preorders are probably only through the authorized retailer stores.

Sprint stores are but only the corporate owned stores. The 3rd party owned Sprint stores are not.

The one I preordered at back on May 20th was a corporate store, they took my name and number and sold me a $50 giftcard. I'll definitely be calling them though sometime after the official release date is announced to make sure they haven't lost it or something.

Re: Who's buying the EVO 3D????

I am still trying to decide between Evo 3D and Galaxy S2 (whenever it is coming to Sprint).

Just as a matter of curiosity, how does the Evo Scorpion-Based CPU compares with Sammy A9 based core? Are there any benchmark comparisons??
What about GPUs? How do they compare?

Any solid info here?

Thanks

Mike

You can just compare the HTC Sensation and Samsung Galaxy S2 to get an idea. The sensation uses the same cpu, but has a little less RAM than the Evo3D.

And, of course, the whole 3D thing, the value of which is really up to the individual. I'm on the fence myself between these two phones. I suspect I will end up with the Evo 3D, since we don't know when the GS2 will be available through Sprint.

Re: Who's buying the EVO 3D????

Thanks,

Well, I saw one review comparing the Evo and GS2, and the reviewer mentioned that while Evo was very fast, GS2 was significantly faster.

Basically, since I do keep my phones for at least 2 years, I want to know if one CPU/GPU set is better than other, regardless of the particular phone used.

I am not sure about the 3D thing yet (have to see myself). I just want to see how the 2 processors compare head-to-head. That's all.

Mike

He said it was significantly faster than the Evo, or the Evo 3D? I can't imagine it's significantly faster than the Evo 3D. I can see it being significantly faster than the Evo though.
