Re: Who's buying the EVO 3D????

Wasn't there some production problem with the Evo that had something to do with the lack of availability? I didn't pre-order and found one about two months after release (after about three weeks of looking).

I don't want to wait this time, but I also like to read reviews before I buy. As I'm on the fence between this and the Galaxy SII, I think I will hold off, though it makes me sad to do so.

Production problem? The only production problem with the Evo that I am aware of is they were selling faster than they could make them.

+1...Also after owning a few Samsung handsets, I am not even considering buying the SII.

I remember a lot of articles like this one stating that manufacturers could not supply touchscreens quickly enough.

That article is wrong. The Evo did not use the Samsung AMOLED screen that had the supply problems. It doesn't have a Samsung screen at all, let alone that particular Samsung screen.

Pretty sure that the original shipments did ship with AMOLED screens and htc switched to s-lcd when sammy decided to keep what they had for their own devices. I seem to remember reading a few articles on it.

Nope. The Evo never had an AMOLED screen. If they did, then the one I preordered and picked up early on launch day would have one.

You are confusing HTC phones. The Droid Incredible had an AMOLED screen and later changed due to supply issues. The Evo never had an AMOLED screen.

Which screen is the best?

Is the 3D having LED screen?

Is gorilla screen on the 3D?

It depends on what you consider best. The Evo 3D screen has the highest resolution and glasses free 3D.

I stand corrected, good sir. I thought it was the Evo, and as I don't own one, I was relying on memory.
