Thanx gTen didn't know that! I was trying to say lets wait and see when it has as many customers that are covered as Sprint (percent wise) then we'll see what their speeds are! People are like oh aw, I want to wait and see then make my verdict!

I'm in. I skipped the EVO and got the Hero, and have lived to regret it. It might not be launch day, but I'm already starting to save up the $ for it.

Potential HTC EVO 3D owners: Why will you buy the device?

When the HTC EVO 3D comes out this summer, it'll be the first dual-core HTC device in the United States. It'll also pack 4G WiMax data speeds, a 3D display, a 3D camera, Android 2.3 and HTC Sense 3. So the question I want to pose to all of you who are thinking of buying it is: what's the most attractive feature? Is it the promise of 3D games and moves? Is it the 3D camera? Is the dual-core processor? Why will you buy the HTC EVO 3D?

I'm drooling over the specs. Too bad there isn't an option there to vote all of the above. Dual core, 3D, dual cameras with a dedicated camera button! Bigger battery and a processor designed to not use it up too fast, tons of memory, and more! The lockscreens that you can add widgets to, the latest HTC Sense wrapped in gingerbread. Yeah, I waant it.

I think there are just too many variables and speaking with any sense of conclusiveness on battery life carries too much legal risk. I say this because I work with a team on documentation and what we can say cannot be remotely "promissory."

Signal strength, variance in manufacturing between battery or CPU, what widgets/apps are running (seriously, an infinite combination of apps from one user to the next)...all those things guarantee that no two people will have the same battery life, let alone usage patterns (calls/sms/email/syncing).

I wish manufacturers would start putting in beefier batteries, though. They're pretty stupid for not listening to customers and measuring avg customer usage patterns. I can never get more than 10-12 hours out of my phone with light use.

Your right you'll never get 10-12 hours on lite usage! Android is open source, where the Iphone is closed (controlled) and by Google doing all those free apps how do think the developers are getting paid!? When you install apps it tells you what it will be accessing in the background, so that the proper advertisement is sent to you!! Apps+Syncing+ bad battery+Your usage= not good! Hey but it's free v.s. Paying?

I'm Gold. So I will probably get it. Although I did have a chance to finally check out a Windows Phone 7 device this weekend (HTC HD7) and I really liked it. I'm also looking forward to a new WebOS device. So whatever comes first.

At first I was going to the Arrive. But I was thinking of th EVO. Then now this.

So I am going to wait until summer. My 2 yr contract is already over.

Will the old software still work on this new OS?

I went on sprint.com and viewed my account and low and behold my upgrade date had been changed to Nov 2011! However, one quick call to Sprint and it was changed right back to where it was. EVO 3D here I come!!!!!!
