It's not like HTC never held back anything in their history before, say dedicated graphic drivers or anything, but I do admit that the issues with the EVO have been quickly fixed, I'm still shocked about them fixing the fps cap after they originally said, "it can't be done" and give them mad props for pulling that off.

Well the OS and therefor the dalvik vm that runs apps doesn't yet have dual core support in 2.3 some of the developers have updated their apps with software to take advantage of dual core processors for example the game dungeon defenders (and i assume the tegra zone games too). Moreover 2.3 has been out for what? almost 6 months? that means the next version will be out in less than 6 months for sure, hell we'll probably see a glimpse of it @ Google I/0 in 2 weeks. plus your a super user to you don't really need to wait for updates from HTC do you? i just hope the camera or a locked bootloader doesn't stop it from getting cm7

I'm sort of on the fence between the Nexus S and Evo 3D. Obviously, the Evo 3D wins in specs, but having a Nexus would be nice for getting updates straight from google. It seems like many of the posts in android forums are "When is xxxx phone going to get gingerbread (or insert new build here)?". Anything will be better then my TP2

Since there seem to be a few gold premier Sprint people here, I have a quick question about how it works. My 10 years will be at the end of July this summer. If I buy a phone in May/June, does that mean I will be eligible for a full upgrade the next May/June or does it go 1 year from the date you reach gold status (ie end of July 2012). I tried to ask a Sprint rep in chat, but really didn't get a clear answer.

I will most definitely be getting an EVO 3D! I do not care about the 3D craze, but the phone looks great. Cannot wait for it to be released.

I will be getting it too..for the wife.Love my WP7 device and happy she loves Android. Nice being a gold member so I can have my WP7 cake and eat Android too.
