I think this is something a lot of people forget or don't know about. It took me a while to figure it out.

if you flash ANY 2.08 ROM you should update the firmware, just make sure it's the modified version w/o the new hboot

6 simple steps.....

1. copy framework-res.apk to your sdk\tools folder

2. C:\Users\Ken>cd c:\sdk\tools (or wherever your sdk\tools is)

3. c:\SDK\tools>adb reboot recovery

4. c:\SDK\tools>adb shell mount /system

5. c:\SDK\tools>adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework
1802 KB/s (5936351 bytes in 3.216s)

6. c:\SDK\tools>adb reboot

This is why I stick with your roms and only your roms. You are extremely dedicated to this stuff. On another note, the netarchy kernel is not working with the new update according to reports so don't flash it until netarchy updates it. Probably have to wait for HTC to release the source.

RE: Firmware....after reading xHausx's post again, if you want to play it safe, just flash the Radio & PRI updates and the RPM update each manually....

If you aren't sure what to use I am currently using the Odexed update zip, the Radio & PRI updates and the RPM update. The odexed ROM can be skipped if you are just wanting the Radio updates.

These must be flashed through fastboot/hboot.
I'll be completely honest and say I don't really know what some of these are for, so flash with caution. Only flash them if you are willing to deal with the consequences of it, whatever that may be. Please let us know the outcome if you do though. If you need an easy way to check MD5 sums you can find a windoze tool for it here(Thx riggsAndroid!).
