I agree completely ... once you cook up a quality rom in Inda's kitchen, you would never be satisfied going back to 6.1.

Re: 6.5 vs 6.1

Is there a good tutorial somewhere on Titanium? Because for all the messing around with it I can't see how it is faster than doing anything with TF3D & Manila Today Page.

Re: 6.5 vs 6.1

saying 6.5 better than 6.1 is like saying vista is better than xp. no way!

6.1 is better because its faster, more efficient, use less resource, therefore, battery should last longer. also not to mention, it is a lot more stable. 6.1 has been updated many many times and had many builds since its final release long ago. no official 6.5 final release yet. for all we know, 6.5 is still in beta stage. maybe the final 6.5 code will be a lot faster and better and maybe then my opinion will change.

wm6.1 build 21501[21051] has smart touch/touchflo built in and it has perfect scrolling finger/touch scroll. just dont cook htc touchflo with 21501 because it will override the built in smart touch in 21501[21051].

wm6.1 start menu with htc enlarge start menu is much better than 6.5 honeycomb start menu. i can get to many of the settings with one click of a button in 6.1. with 6.5, it's required a couple of clicks. for example, to get to the today screen, i need to click setting and then today under 6.5. with 6.1 and htc enlarged menu, i have access to the last 5 apps that i have used. i can also customized my start menu easily under 6.1 by putting the frequently used app in the start menu. with 6.5 start menu, everything is loaded on the honeycomb, even apps that i rarely use like the calculator and notepad are there on the honeycomb, which make things more clutter and easily launch by accident.

not all is bad with 6.5, i like how you can customized the taskbar with 6.5. see below:

instead of throwing out a subjective, global, non-specific type of comment...how about some facts to backup your claim?

Do you think you could cook up something better than his current Grooverom5? I have used his 6.1 based Rom4 for months and months....love it.
I tried his Rom5 a few months ago...sucked ballz..went back to 6.1 very quickly
I tried his most recent grooverom5 yesterday.....I had it on my phone for 5.5 hours....and for 5 of those hours I was at work with no access to my computer.

Actually it's more like saying that Windows 7 is better than XP, and it is.
Like I said before, if you are happy with 6.1, then just be happy. This notion of 6.5 being slower is just wrong. The newest builds of 6.5 benchmark at the same performance of your fast 6.1 builds. Test for yourself if you don't believe it -- I have, which is why I know that I am right.

sorry inda, i have to respectfully disagree. wm6.5 is pretty much the same as wm6.1, but with more eye candies, just like vista is to xp. perhaps when wm7 come out in the near future, it will be that much better.

i have not done any benchmarking, but i have used your rom, which is highly regarded in this forum, and have cooked several other 6.5 roms, including the 2 latest wm6.5 builds, and, to me, it is just not that responsive compare to a wm6.1 rom.

ps. i was also really surprise that you went with 6.5 rom only since the last several wm6.5 builds. i think you are the only chief with wm6.5 only rom. but again, your 6.5 rom is highly regarded here.

Sadthai ... maybe I'm just confused, but I thought that 21501 was 6.5, or were you referencing 21051?

You can disagree all you want, but until you've benchmarked various builds with the same OEM base, it doesn't really mean much. 6.5 has better memory and power management plain and simple.

You can even look at Mighty's own benchmarks. You can see that though the Mighty/Slience 6.1 perform's about 0.1% better than mine in benchmarks they are on the same par:
