6.5 vs 6.1

I dont get it. from my experience with different types of roms, the ones that are 6.5 are slllooowwwer than 6.1.

question is, how do you guys deal with the lag of 6.5 compared to a rom running 6.1?

this thread is not meant to target anyone or pick fights.

i just want to know the 6.5 users' opinions on what they like about 6.5.

Re: 6.5 vs 6.1

i find that the 6.5 roms are running pretty smooth now, the earlier roms ( when 6.5 first came out) were sluggish, but with some great chefs they have made 6.5 run pretty darn good overall.

I dont see myself going back to 6.1 anymore

Re: 6.5 vs 6.1

My experience with 6.5 is that the current stuff is quicker than 6.1, simpler, more finger friendly, stable ... I'll never go back.

Re: 6.5 vs 6.1

... to each his own

I've tried the juice; left me thirsty.
Mighty ? Not so much.
Mystery, why folks using 6.5?

Seriously, all of the folks working their way through the 6.5 releases get my appreciation, but frankly - 6.5 is a disaster. It is less usable to a stylus driven person and not finger friendly enough to get you to iPhone usability.

I have my same WM 6.1 rom (51052.1.6) and about once a week, I make the rounds through the lastest 6.5 offerings and they are certainly getting better, but the chef's, as talented and resourceful as they are, can't make up for the dog that Microsoft is pushing in 6.5.

Best regards,
-Boggsie

Thumbs up Re: 6.5 vs 6.1

I really like WM6.5. Especially if I dont use TF3D it runs much faster and smoother than ever before. Plus scrolling pages with your finger instead of having to using the slide bar on the side is much easier and more natural. I personally like the WM6.5 home page alot it fits my needs as a user.

Haven't tried 6.5 and frankly don't want to. Content with my 6.1 ROM cooked with calkulin's kitchen.

Re: 6.5 vs 6.1

I tried them all 6.1 with touchflo, 6.5 with touchflo,
6.1 without, and 6.5 without. 6.5 is so much slower then 6.1.
I really dont' understand y ppl likes 6.5
But the bottle neck for 6.1 is the touchflo.

I been using grooveRom 3.9 without touchflo for the longest time now.
I just replace the touchflo with the new spb mobile shell 3.0 (its an awsome software)

It also seem like every month i would just flash new roms just to see wat out there.
But i always end up goin back to grooveRom 3.9
To me that the fastest and smoothest rom so far.

Agreed, it's still buggy but I just like the interface that much better.

6.5 is really simplified, you have your home page and your apps.
