Re: Capacitive Touch Buttons/Hardware Buttons! Let Your Voices Be Heard!
Well there is obviously a button underneath, it seems to be the same concept as the Blackberry Storm button. There isn't a button for each corner (maybe 1 for each side?), when it clicks it determines where you were pressing to decide which action to perform.
I didn't know this and actually I am kind of relieved. I always try way too hard to get to the very edge to hit "End" because I don't want to accidentally hit the "right" button. Knowing this makes it somewhat easier, though I definitely feel where you're coming from OP, it's cold in the midwest...however I'm a stubborn idiot and never wear gloves haha. |

Re: Capacitive Touch Buttons/Hardware Buttons! Let Your Voices Be Heard!
The buttons do work in a non-capacitive manner, I was playing around after reading this post and found if I am on the programs tab and press the home key with gloves on(actually I used my sweater) it goes to the home tab. So they do work in a limited fashion. Also works from the phone pad.

Re: Capacitive Touch Buttons/Hardware Buttons! Let Your Voices Be Heard!
As far as theory about your fingers building up some sort of eneregy, I don't think that's correct. I took an ink pen and pushed the button over and over and eventually it worked. I did it as the phone was on top of my desk just to make sure there was no way my body was touching it. It is a pain in the arse though.

Re: Capacitive Touch Buttons/Hardware Buttons! Let Your Voices Be Heard!
I've noticed that the send key and home key are capacitative only (the send button does not bring up the phone if you press it with the stylus, but it does light up). The end button and back button on the right side do not appear to require that you touch it, but will function with just the stylus. I've had several instances when I pull the phone from the case and the end key gets pressed by the case. Anyone know how to make both sides of the hardware buttons be only capacitative?

Re: Capacitive Touch Buttons/Hardware Buttons! Let Your Voices Be Heard!
this is supposed to be a feature. it is done to ensure that if a hardware button is pressed in your pocket it doesn't pocket dial. the theory behind it being that you have to have your finger on it WHILE the hardware button is depressed for it to do anything. simple enough, right?

Sure, simple enough. Nothing new there. My problem is I pocket hang up on people because the end key is pressing in my pocket. The send key doesn't do that. How do I make the End key consistent with the Send key?
