Re: Found solution to Calendar Agenda view on home screen

Over on the XDA forum it has been posted there is no fix for the day screen. HTC did this in the coding. I like my month view too. But, will just have to put up with the day screen.

Re: Found solution to Calendar Agenda view on home screen

I think I really found it this time. I had flased to the new Mighty 3.4 ROM. After installing all the programs I use, it was working again, but I didn't know why, as I never checked it as I installed each program.

So, I did a hard reset, and checked the calendar after every installed program.

My conclusion is that installing the backgroundImageforAllPages was what made it work. This would explain why it works on my wifes phone, which runs juicy's 3.4 rom. I put this cab on hers a while ago, and it has worked ever since, but I had no idea why. I though it was built into the ROM.

I hope it works for everyone, and if it does, maybe the ROM builders can cook it in their ROM's.

If it doesn't, I am done posting in this thread.

Good Luck, and the cab is below

I upgraded to thumbcal 1.2.5 (from 1.1.2) and it seems faster plus it has a load screen now, so you don't see tf3d for 2 seconds...there is another screen that comes up so you know it is working

I read something a long time ago about this issue, i believe it is a manila problem. I eventually gave up and used SSmapa to map the calendar button to thumbcal. It works but is not a great solution.
Why is it not a great solution. It does the job and does it well. I would like to see a fix that would enable you to browse to the appropriate file and path to avoid a lot of repetitive typing but aside from that it certainly does the job for me.

This works!

Now when I go to Tools Options and set Day as my Cal, it remembers and uses that! w00t!

I actually started to get used to the Agenda view though!

Thanks, you rock!

Nice find mucky, it replaces two manila files, they must not be broken like the ones we have by default in our roms, I'm on Juicy 3.8 by the way! Thanks!

Success!

Calender now sticks to month view!

This is happening on Juicy 3.9.

Thanks a bunch!

Re: Found solution to Calendar Agenda view on home screen

Well, I finally tried the solution posted earlier to get PI8.5 to work on the tabs.
I got the PIAgenda to open, but only when I pressed on an appointment within Manila- not on the lower left softkey where I had assigned the calendar.
And it also works to bring up PIContacts when I select All People on the Contacts tab.
I call that a success.
BTW- Using MightROM3.6 and loving it.

small update: With some tinkering with some of the "hacking" apps, I got my Home left softkey to work with New Event and it uses PI instead of the OEM calendar app. Very pleased.

Re: Found solution to Calendar Agenda view on home screen

Well, I installed the background cab provided by Mucky above.
It solved the calendar view problem... but now my clock is the flip style (which is nice) but the clock is now broken showing only 0:00am.

When I scroll down on the main page, the smaller clock shows the time correctly, but I can't seem to find a location for adjusting the main clock.

Any ideas?

Unlocked Verizon HTC Touch Pro, stock ROM (for now)

*Update* So I figured that if I installed a flip clock cab, it may solve it. I found some nice ones at XDA and installed the Crystal w/White Numbers.
That fixed the 0:00 clock issue, but it uninstalled the fix for the calendar. So then I reinstalled the background cab, which re-fixed the calendar view while keeping clock working...

but now the My Favorites and My Application tabs in TouchFlo 3D are non-fuctional.

Re: Found solution to Calendar Agenda view on home screen

ok the file 1c684cd8_manila makes the calendar fix but then you wont be able to change the wallpaper.. so if you add the 5c9aa261_manila then the default background will disappear..
