It's all good Marcjen, you can just call me Major if it bugs you!
I read something a long time ago about this issue, i believe it is a manila problem. I eventually gave up and used SSmapa to map the calendar button to thumbcal. It works but is not a great solution.

Re: Found solution to Calendar Agenda view on home screen

This cab is obviously used to install a calender tab, but is it one of the manila files therein that would allow the calendar to open up as we wish? Like if we were to replace the 26948339 manila file on our device with the one in this cab, would that work? (Yes, I suppose I could try it to find out...)

Re: Found solution to Calendar Agenda view on home screen

FYI- here is the reply I got on the WebIS site for putting PI Calendar, Agenda & Contacts in TF3D.

I have made it work by setting the following:

In SSMaPa

In the New Program box, browse to PITab.exe and select it (this part doesn't work properly- you have to type in the directories and name. The default worked for me: \Program Files\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe)

In the Arguments box, put the following number (only the number) in for the view you want to access:

Agenda = 2
Contacts = 9
Day = 3
Month = 5
Timeline = 6

You can find the rest of the assigned numbers for the other views by using a file explorer that will show you the target properties (like Total Commander). Just look for the number at the end of the path.
I'm flashing a new ROM right now, so I'll try this tomorrow.

Re: Found solution to Calendar Agenda view on home screen

Hey guys, maybe you want to look into the registry there is a key called :MSCONTACT which the window mobile shell is using to launch contact. You can define a path to other program for it to use. I've done this with my Agenda One software with Mogul, not sure if it's the same for Diamond, but I guess it could be.

Trident did you get this to work? I tried it but SSmapa could not find the Pitab.exe. SSmapa does not allow you to browse per se just lets you scan folders and it will not scan nested folders. I used SSmapa to change the calendar button to Thumbcal but to do this I had to move the install directory to the root so SSmapa could find it. Let me know what you did to get it working, please!?

When I use SSMaPa I have to add

\Program Files\ThumbCal\ThumbCal.exe - to the New Program field

&

\Program Files\ThumbCal\ - to the Working directory field...try that I guess, but substitute the thumbcal for pocket informants information.

Thanks Inch but SSmapa is not my problem, I already use it to replace the default calendar with thumbcal. I was interested in going back to the original calendar rather than thumbcal as it seems to load faster when you hit the calendar button. The only thing keeping me away is the deafult calendar won't start in month view and I hate all the other views.
