I disassembled my phone down to a the level shown by snovvman here:
ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Diamond/Users/snovvman/DSCF2177.JPG Then I taped it off and used black spray paint. This only lasted about 2 days before rubbing off from me missing the slot for the USB. May try it again with some hand paint that is specifically for plastic. On a side note, my dye on the cover is rubbing off around the stylus. Is anyone else having this problem? |

sorry, i can try later. I assure you it looks identical to the DIY method of dyeing it. As long as you buff it with a soft piece of fabric (jewelry cloth) it buffs out to a perfect flat finish. Looks professional. the sharpie I got it from Walmart but it's everywhere. It thicker than a typical sharpie and it say industrial on it. this was discussed early on this thread as well so I think others have had success.
