I used navy blue liquid rit because I already had some, and figured if it didn't turn out good I could do black over it. I posted the results on the page 16 if you haven't seen it go there. I used a small sauce pan and there was maybe a 1/2" of liquid above the cover once I put it in. Just make sure you don't boil it, if it starts to simmer pull it off the heat. Just watch it, and keep it below boiling. I started onmedium, but had to go to low because I went in the other room for a minute, came back, and it was boiling!!!!! Luckily I did absolutely no damage, there is no bleeding, it looks like great, like it came that way!!!! Below is a picture of the sauce pan, and spoon I used to move things around.
