Re: Finally Sprint Diamond on Verizon, but...

Hey guys, I came across the PRI version on the other thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36031. I wonder what is your PRI version? My PRI version is 1.44_003. I wonder that's something to do with the roaming icon. I updated my ERI, but the roaming icon still on. I have to use the PRL method to get rid of the icon.

I have the same PRI number. I used the 51101m.prl from the first post of this thread
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ghlight=51101m
and everything works great, no roaming. Big big thanks to tomz17 and everyone else on these boards who figured this out!!

I know the PRL will take care of the roaming. I just wonder PRI will totally get rid of the problem. For example, you can use *228 to update the roaming.

As far as I've been able to tell nobody has been able to get the Diamond to load a new ERI/PRI yet. ##ERI doesn't even do anything on my phone.

I am able to do the ERI. I can't do it on Sprint original Rom, but after I flash to Juicy Rom, I can use ##ERI# to load ERI

Re: Finally Sprint Diamond on Verizon, but...

i updated the eri on my sprint diamond with mighty rom 3.8 and it seemed to take. but it did not seem to make any difference (the triangle is still there.) i've also ran the titan carrier cab and tried everything else but the modified prl. i dont really want to use the modified prl since it isn't the latest. i was able to get on verizon with no problems just by flashing the prl and setting my spc to 000000. it's just that darn triangle is bugging the crap out of me. anyone else in the same boat as me?

I want to post what I did for successful activation.

1. Find MSL or SPC code with registy hacking.
2. Find real ESN or HEX number from MEID HEX.
3. Change MSL to all 0 '000000' using QPST
4. Change sprint PRL to Verizon PRL using ##PRL#
5. Dial *228 and choose option 3
6. Unlock the phone for updating customized rom
7. Update rom (I'm using Mighty rom-Generic Brand)

That's it.

I have been using it about 3 days, and I'm so happy except the following;

1. The roaming triangle sign is always on even I updated roaming OTA program. Anyone help?
2. The Data service is still working on it, only TXT message is okay.
3. No Verizon Sign or letter, Just preferred system shows.

If anyone has a Verizon Rom or additional info, Please help US.
Thanks.
i changed my msl code to 000000
i downloaded the prl and used ##prl# and installed it http://corolada.com/prl/ also tried one from these postings
went to to *228 and *22899 and wont dial out

so i need step by step walk thru on how to get my diamond to vzw
thanks

Re: Finally Sprint Diamond on Verizon, but...

has anyone tried bored's modified tp verizon pri on their diamond? wondering if this is safe. with this you should be able to use the stock verizon prl with the diamond and not worry about the roaming icon. but there is an recent modified america's choice II prl that i can confirm that it gets rid of the roaming icon while providing you with verizon's most recent prl.

bored's modified pri (ppst1.46.cab)
modified verizon 51143 prl
