i got a 30 day extented extension to return my diamond

today i got a extended 30 days extension to return my touch diamond, which means if the touch pro does come out on November 2, i can still get it and return my diamond. my 30 days would have been up tomorrow on the 23, so i called sprint and requested the return package because i didn't want my diamond phone anymore because i wanted the AT&T Iphone. i explained to them that i would have considered getting the touch pro, but it wasn't out until november 2nd and i wasn't going two weeks without a phone. i also pointed out and they confirmed how sprint had been repeatedly over billing me for over 7 months, and making repeated mistakes on my bills causing them having to keep correcting their mistake... which was all documented on my account. so the lady extended my 30 day return deadline so i can get the touch pro on november 2. now lets just hope it actually comes out on that date

thanks for the information. I emailed Sprint ecare today, hoping to get an extension. I haven't heard back from them yet, but I hope I also get a 30-day extension. If I don't, I'll try threatening to switch to iphone as well~ hehe

ye, i also got an extention, however they said if the touch pro is delayed p***** Nov 2nd they wont be able to extend it further. Does anyone know if the sprint store is reserving touch pros?

To replace the handset under the 30 days warranty, you need to visit the nearest Sprint Store. Also, if you purchased your current HTC Touch handset via sprint.com, you can replace the handset by calling Order Support at (866) 203-0952.

Further, as you will replace your handset on November 2, 2008. On this
date the handset will not be under the 30 day return policy. However, I have put in the supporting note on the account and you can replace your handset on November 2, 2008 under the 30 day return policy.

my store said they dont reserve phones at the if CS over the phone tells you they will it is false information. they also said the phone was due out 1st quarter ive already told myself if i cant swap on nov 2nd....ill keep this phone its not bad but being limited to space/tv-out and keyboard is worth 50 bucks but not having a brick is nice. so getting an extended battery when they release one that will acually last will be a good purchase

I sent an e-mail to dan@sprint.com slamming Sprint and HTC about the overheating issues on the Diamond and they will let me exchange my Diamond until the end of the year

... if I do.

I think he's referring to the email address that was supposedly for Dan Hesse. From what I've heard, you just get another low-level customer service rep replying to you.

I e-mailed Dan, and he and I went out for a few drinks, smoked a bowl, then he gave me a free Touch Pro. It was awesome.
