Here's one email I got back, as you can see I am fighting with them trying to get my warranty extended.

It is not possible to extend the 30-Day Risk Free Guarantee beyond October 25, 2008. I apologize that you are facing the extreme heat issues with the HTC Diamond handset. Our in-store technician will be glad to perform all the required tests on your PCS Phone to resolve the issue. I threatened Telus with the iPhone when i bought my diamond (2 days ago) and i got the student plan which is $50 and has unlimited im, e-mail, web-browsing, so basically unlimited data and they gave me the student bundle 15 for free which is unlimited text incoming and outgoing (can;'t remember if it is pic and vid as well) and voice mail / caller id

New update, they caved in as I told them I was going to switch to At&T iPhone.

As the expected launch date for the HTC Touch Pro phone is delay from October 19, 2008 (your phone is under 30 day period) to November 02, 2008 (your phone will be out of 30 day period), therefore, as an exception case, we will consider your phone under replacement period. Once the HTC Touch Pro phone is launched, please visit the nearest Sprint Store and get your phone replaced with the new phone. In case the Store representatives are not considering your phone under 30 day period, please purchase the new phone by paying the full price and reply. Dear Jon Thank you for contacting Sprint. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused due to the phone battery problem. I understand that you are not happy with the battery life of the HTC Touch Diamond phone and want to replace the phone to HTC Touch Pro phone under 30 days return policy. The Touch Pro phone is to be released by November 02, 2008. The Touch Diamond phone was activated on the account on October 11, 2008. Therefore you can easily replace the current phone under 30 days return policy by paying the price difference if any. If it is not released within the 30 days you will still be able to replace your diamond for the touch pro as I have left a note on your account to do so. Please visit the nearest Sprint store to replace the phone once Touch Pro phone release in the market.
